Space Bandits came out of nowhere and has blown me away. #5 was the final issue of this mini series, and I can't wait to get my hands on the Trade Papeback... but we have to wait till February 2020 for that.

The final issue gave us a perfect ending, as it tied up all the loose ends and delivered a definitive conclusion to the story. Things don't always go the girls way, but I'm very happy with the way Mark Millar brought this crazy adventure to a close.

Millar could have easily wrapped things up in a big bow and given everyone a happy ending. He could also have left us with a completely open ending, allowing the audience to draw their own conclusions on what could happen next. The latter option is often the easy way out when people don't know how to end something.
What I enjoyed most about this final issue is how Millar dialled the crazy up to 10, gave us some real twists and turns and brought the saga to a satisfying close, while also leaving the door open to a sequel. Thena Khloe and Cody Blue have won me over and I'm very excited at the knowledge that, with Millarworld being part of Netflix, seeing this story come to life on-screen isn't an impossible dream.

Conclusion

This has been my stand out comic series of 2019. Millarworld at Netflix gave me the opportunity to review Space Bandits and I'm very grateful for that opportunity. This was is a brilliantly written story with dynamic and distinctive artwork, that really gave me something different with every issue.

I can genuinely say there's been nothing I didn't enjoy about this series, and  I can't sing its praises highly enough. If you're looking for a new comic book, for a mature audience, that will take you on a crazy and wild ride, then this is the series for you. I like the fact that I have no un-answered questions but plenty of excitement about what could come next.
