DC Comics have given us a sneak peek at Flash Facts, a brand new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) graphic novel, aimed for the young and the young-at-heart. It’s all about the science… and all about the fun!

The Big Bang Theory is one of my all-time favorite TV shows, so when I heard that real-life scientist, and one of the stars of the show, Mayim Bialik, would be curating this collection of brand new stories for DC, I got very, very happy!

Imagine stories featuring your favorite DC characters in all-new adventures that highlights the best of today’s real life science and technology! As a teacher and educator myself, I couldn’t be more excited.

Here’s the full DC press release, including a complete, brand new story featuring Batman and Plastic Man!

DC First Look – Batman Teaches 3-D Printing in Flash Facts – STEM Graphic Novel
Curated by Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik

DC Entertainment is sharing the first excerpt reveal for Flash Facts – DC’s first-ever STEM graphic novel for kids. Hitting stores February 2, 2021, the middle grade anthology is curated by Big Bang Theory star and scientist Mayim Bialik and features a collection of short stories by an all-star roster of writers and artists including Varian Johnson, Cecil Castellucci, Kirk Scroggs, Michael Northrop, Isaac Goodhart and many more.

Today, DC released the full Batman chapter, “If You Can’t Take the Heat,” co-written by twin brothers Varian Johnson (Twins) and Darian Johnson, and illustrated by Vic Regis.

The short story features Batman demonstrating 3-D printing for kids.

Wow! If the rest of the book is this good, then I’m buying multiple copies; for myself, nieces and nephews, and for the kid siblings of some of my students.

You see? Learning can be fun! Alongside the forthcoming Insight Editions book, Exploring Gotham City, young fans are really getting some treats in 2021.
